The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers Local No. 2 is always training skilled craftsmen for the public and roofing industry through our Roofing Apprenticeship Program. Roofing and Waterproofing Job Duties
Roofing and Waterproofing job duties include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Repairing roofs
- Applying hot and cold built-up roofing
- Applying various single-ply roofing systems
- Installing shingle, tile and slate roofs
- Waterproofing foundations and plaza decks
- Lining ponds and tanks
- Removal of roofs

Earn While You Learn
Our roofing apprenticeship program lets you earn money while you learn the trade of roofing and waterproofing. Effective March 1, 2018, the starting rate is $16.35 per hour plus annual pay raises and Union Benefits. Upon completion of the Local No. 2’s Roofing Apprenticeship Program, your credit hours are applied to an Associates Degree.
