Promoting the Industry… The Mission of the Industry Advancement Committee The INDUSTRY ADVANCEMENT FUND has been established by Roofers Local No. 2 and the Signatory Contractors for the purpose of promoting and maintaining the unionized roofing industry within the jurisdiction of Roofers Local No. 2, to improve labor management relations, job security, organizing effectiveness and to enhance economic development in the area. In addition to promoting the use of union roofing contractors, the INDUSTRY ADVANCEMENT FUND shall develop and implement programs designed to educate the craftsmen/employees of the Signatory Contractors with respect to the appropriate local, county, state and federal regulations, safety and first aid procedures, and developments in roofing technology and industry standards.
