The Industry Advancement Fund, established by Roofers Local No. 2 and the Signatory Roofing Contractors, recently donated toys to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. The toys were on the “Wish List” of the Hospital, which serves children, adolescents and their families.
“We greatly appreciate [The Local No. 2’s] thoughtfulness. Each item can definitely be used,” notes Marian Ammons, Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving. “Many children will use these toys in our playrooms, waiting rooms and patient care rooms.”
Cardinal Glennon is committed to meeting the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients, their families and those who serve them. The hospital is a major pediatric referral center and provides programs responsive to community health needs. The hospital operates in the tradition of its sponsor, the Franciscan Sisters of Mary, and is owned and operated by SSM Health Care.
“We are pleased to make this donation on behalf of the Signatory Roofing Contractors,” notes Doug Jones, Chairman of IAF. “We wanted to do our party to help the kids during a difficult time.”
The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers Local No. 2 office is located at 2920 Locust St. in St. Louis. The Industry Advancement Fund was established to maintain and promote the unionized roofing industry in Missouri and Illinois and is funded by the Signatory Roofing Contractors.
